what art means for me

I aim to convey something of the energy of the creative impetus through the use of line, edge and texture. Materials, process and experimentation are key to my work. I like to discover how materials behave, alone or with each other, and follow the lead they give. I allow the process to remain obvious and suggest other developments. Each development opens up new opportunities. I work in both two and three dimensions and have a very physical relationship with the work - which is what ‘art’ means for me.
